100 Days of Blogging

Day 1 of 100 Days of Blogging

Today begins a Journey of 100 Days of Blogging. I had this spark of an inspiration a few days ago, after a month of working and playing in Baltimore and NYC.

Now back in California, I am committing fully to the inspiration. I am saying, “YES!” and diving in to write a daily blog (June 1- Sept 8, 2013).

AND every Friday, one of the Heal My Voice authors will be a guest blogger.

Here is what I know in this present moment about the next 100 days.

Personal Life: (What I think I know!)

There is a lot of movement for me and my adult children!

*I am moving into a house with six women and men, ages 29-56, with the intention of living in community with connection, self-discovery and pushing my edges.

*My youngest daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time (with the family cat, Playful)

*My middle daughter is embarking on a year journey of living in different places in the world.

*My oldest daughter is pregnant with her first child, a baby girl (my first grandchild!)  Due Date~Sept 22.

*My son-in-law is leading a 24 day journey with Dramatic Adventure Theatre in Czech, Slovakia and Austria during the month of July. www.dramaticadventure.com

*I am taking time this summer to enjoy nature, including the beach and to read and write.

*I am learning new things about myself while I observe, reflect and write with new intention and focus.

Professional Life: (What I think I know!)

There is a lot of movement here, too!

*Heal My Voice is beginning three book circle projects and the women are connecting in an on-line community to write a story that wants to emerge from them now. (Voices of Peace, Voices of Love, Voices of Feminine Leadership~ And by the way, there is still time to join! Check out details at www.healmyvoice.org) After writing, we focus on speaking and next steps in leadership.

*We are co-creating a pilot project at Chrysalis House for women in substance abuse treatment. (They can live there with their children) After a workshop, in May with 23 women, the weekly writing circle is led by Beth Terrence www.bethterrence.com and several workshops are scheduled over the summer led by Heal My Voice authors.

*Voices of Freedom is a pilot project led by LaVonne Sumler with women who had the experience of drug recovery, prison, and domestic violence. Supporting women strengthens the community with strong leadership from the women.  www.voiceofsignificance.com

*We are focused on grant writing and crowdfunding to fund the projects.
*I am learning new things about myself while I observe, reflect and write with new intention and focus.

EVERYTHING else is a mystery! (Even the things I think I know…)

To the ADVENTURE!
